NakedPak is the world’s first brand of microplastic-free meals wrapped entirely in edible packaging. Story

NakedPak was founded by Naama Nicotra, an Israeli product designer whose frustration with unsustainable food packaging led to what began as a graduation project at HIT (Holon Institute of Technology) in Israel. Nicotra’s central insight was the “Apple Principle” — just as an apple needs no packaging beyond its own edible skin, food could be wrapped in something that becomes part of the meal itself. Nicotra subsequently co-founded NakedPak as a company alongside Isabel Goldberg, who brings over 20 years of expertise in flexible packaging technology and compliance as CTO.
