Story

Founder, Dinesh Tadepalli, was having ice cream with his daughter at an ice cream shop when he Ben Simon, was first struck by how massive the problem of single-use plastics is, especially in restaurants and other convenience eateries. As a young parent, Tadepalli was passionate about preserving a cleaner environment for his children, and he began his search for alternatives to single-use plastics. In his research, he realized that only 9 percent of compostable cutlery was actually disposed properly and therefore wanted a completely compostable, maybe even edible, solution. The first spoons were introduced to the world in February, 2019, and Tadepalli appeared on Shark Tank, Season 13. (Source)
