AGAIN

The circle of it: This company provides a cost-efficient way for businesses to use reusable glass packaging rather than sourcing virgin glass bottles.

Summary

Again aims to make reusable packaging more accessible and seamless for businesses. The company provides supply chain infrastructure powering circular packaging and helps brands to reduce their packaging waste by allowing them to reuse the same packaging again and again. More recently, the company launched its CleanCell technology, which collects, cleans, and repackages glass bottles for refill inside a 40-foot shipping container. The company has also created “Tag”, a traceability platform that provides data insights for the reusable container supply chain, which provides more data that can be used by brands to understand and improve reusability.

Story

Founder Matt Kennedy wanted to challenge the status quo and wanted to make reusable packaging to be a competitive alternative to single-use plastics. He found a lack of infrastructure preventing reuse at scale: local, de-centralised cleaning facilities. Thus, Kennedy set out to provide the missing link-infrastructure and cleaning facilities- to brands that wanted to achieve sustainability.

Our biggest advantage is that brands don’t have to invest their own capital to build a cleaning system. We’re building our infrastructure as a shared logistic service that any brand any retailer can tap into, and we can show them how much water and CO2 emissions they can save by utilizing our solution.”
