Summary
For Days is a company that has incorporated circularity into the design of the company and its products. Its fashion products are made with 100% recyclable materials. The company also provides a Take Back bag that allows customers to send back For Days clothing and even other clothing that the company recycles. Any used clothing is fiber-to-fiber recycled into new materials by its partners Recover and Hallotex. The company has built an expert network of recyclers to accept used clothing from any brand and give it a new life. The process includes collecting used products through the Take Back Bag, including items from other brands. These used items are sorted and graded into up to 250 categories to determine how to best use the product, including fiber-to-fiber recycling, resale and downcycling. The company uses partners with Leigh Fibers and Phoenix fibers to convert materials of lesser quality into insulation or carpeting. (Source)
Story
Founder Kristy Caylor had been in the fashion industry for a long time (including a long tenure at Gap), and had gotten tired of the old system that produced so much waste. She realized that over 80% of the produced garments ended up in landfill. She thought that customers were ready for more sustainable fashion, and founded For Days. (Source)

“Our current model of produce, purchase, pollute doesn’t make sense, and isn’t sustainable or efficient. I hope people feel empowered to participate, because our members are the most exciting piece of the puzzle — by joining, requesting, refreshing and returning, each member becomes a little center for circularity.”
