Enjay has developed technology to prevent heat waste from heat, or exhaust producing facilities like restaurants, fast food chains, laundry facilities and other industrial operations. Preventing heat waste is a great way to reduce heating cost and lower the CO2 emissions from productions facilities in the industry. One significant challenge in tapping into waste heat is the risk associated with traditional methods of energy recovery. Attempting to recover energy from dirty process air often leads to equipment clogs and downtime. The maintenance required to clean process air can negate potential savings. However, Enjay has developed technology to capture excess heat even from a polluted source and without having to purify the air. The company’s product “Lepido” is an industrial heat exchanger, that can recapture excess heat from the ventilation in industrial processes. The patented set up of coils allows the particles (and the hot air) to pass through the heat exchanger without getting stuck. The heat exchanger’s innovative design allows particles and impurities to pass through, ensuring heat transfer.
